This new build swimming pool south of Winchester was created for a young family who wanted to bring the enjoyment of outdoor pool life into their Hampshire home. Having previously owned a pool abroad, the clients wanted to recreate the same relaxed family lifestyle, with a pool their children could grow up using and enjoying.

The brief was to build a practical, attractive pool that would sit naturally within the garden. Restricted access via a narrow 1m-wide path alongside the house meant the build required careful planning, specialist equipment and a carefully sequenced construction programme from excavation through to the final liner installation.

The pool measures approximately 8m x 3.75m and was built using block construction with smooth rendered walls, a screeded floor and a Vogue Vintage on-site liner, creating a clean, refined finish. A full-width bench at the shallow end provides space to relax or supervise children, while an underwater light enhances the pool after dark.

A charcoal grey Aquamatic automatic safety cover, sand filter, heat pump, UV disinfection system, Polaris automatic cleaner and custom-built plant shed ensure the pool is safe, efficient and easy to maintain. Natural stone paving and Antique Fossil Pearl limestone copings complete the setting.
